When you enter a dental surgery the first thing you notice is how bright, white and clean everything is and how there is no clutter anywhere this is given right from the initial check in at the reception desk and carried on throughout the surgery.
When you enter the dental room, you will instantly notice the following:
• The Units, that the units are fitted around the outside of the room and are very streamline, clean and tidy.
• There is never much clutter on the sides apart from a computer which is needed to apply patient notes during appointments.
• The dental chair, this needs to be positioned in the centre of the space allowing easy flow around the chair to treat patients.
• Lighting, the lighting is very bright, white and gives a calm clean clinical feel.
It is important to keep the design of the room clean and tidy and to maximise the space that each individual surgery has. You will notice that no two dental surgeries are laid out the exact same.
The cabinets and cupboards are fitted to the exact space that is available utilising every part of the surgery allowing for movement around the surgery by the dentist and dental nurse with ease, knowing where each and every surgical tool and other necessities is stored, this allows your experience there to be stress free and efficient and most important clean and sterile.
